how to knit a hat with a cat?
I'm looking to make a hat point really cool design with a youth group for Halloween, with ears cat in it. However, here is a link to the design ... http://www.crochetme.com/media/p/88240.aspx .... and I have no idea what this means! I that girls who really like this pattern, and enjoy it, however, I have no idea how, and whether it is possible for a beginner to make this. I know how to knit, like most girls, but crochet is different. I was wondering if this is possible. Hope this makes sense, but in the end, I make this hat about 12 years old, and wondered if it was possible? please help! Thanks ...:- D
The core of this hat is not difficult and beginners can do fairly easily, the ears are the most difficult and require tapestry needle to 'sew' ears a. One could, in theory, ears make ahead of time and have the girls sew the ears to the hat when it's done, but I will not lie it is hard work and long time as a crocheter intermediate I remember how frustrating it was for me to learn decreasing stitches and keep track of them. http://gegecrochet.blogspot.com/2009/04/holy-julie-newmar-batman.html, is the same idea only with a simple design to be easier for beginners. You do not have to use two colors if I do not want to appear to change colors queuing as irritating and can be frustrating when you do not go exactly right. Hope this helps! Happy hitch.
